How to keep your history in your account

Keep an encrypted copy of your workouts, routines and measurements in your account, to get it all back when you change phones.

Works on
  • iPhone
  • Android

With the history in your account turned on, Gym+ keeps an encrypted copy of your workouts, routines, measurements, profile, medals, notes, training places and preferences in your account. It is stored only in the European Union and comes back when you change phones or reinstall the app.

Step by step

  1. On the Profile tab, tap Settings.

  2. Scroll to the Account section and turn on Keep my history in my account.

  3. Read what is kept and what it is for, and tap I agree, keep it. If you choose Not now, nothing changes: your history stays on this phone only.

  4. With it on, the section shows when the last cloud copy was made.

  5. To bring the copy to the phone right away, tap Download from the server now.

  6. To turn it off, turn off the same option and tap Turn off and delete.

Common problems

The option is locked and does not turn on
At 16 and 17, it only turns on after your guardian allows it in the guardian panel. See Teen mode: how Gym+ works at 16 and 17.
I deleted workouts on the phone and the app asks about the cloud
Tap Delete from the cloud to delete the copies too, or Bring them back if it was a mistake.

Open in the app

In Gym+, tap the question mark on the Home screen to open the Help Center and search for “History in your account”. The Open now button takes you straight to the screen.
