How to connect Gym+ to the Health app or Health Connect
Let Gym+ save your workouts and read heart rate, calories and steps, and learn where to change or revoke the access.

With your permission, Gym+ saves your workouts to the Health app on iPhone, or to Health Connect on Android, and reads workouts from your watch, heart rate, calories and steps from there. Only the minutes of a workout are read: never your whole day, never your location. What is read stays on this device.
Step by step
On the Profile tab, under My training and progress, tap Health data. Under the name you see whether the link is on.
Read what Gym+ reads and saves: Workouts from your watch, Heart rate, Active calories, Total calories, Steps and Saving the finished workout. On Android, also Weight and height.
Tap Continue. The system permissions screen opens: choose there what Gym+ may read and save.
Back in Gym+, the screen shows whether reading is on. Under Recent sessions you see the workouts that carried body data.
To stop the reading and keep the permission, turn off Read during workouts.
To change or revoke the access, follow the path the screen shows under How to turn it on or off. On iPhone, the path is Settings, Apps, Health, Data Access & Devices, Gym+. On Android, the permissions live in Health Connect.
Common problems
- A workout ended without heart rate or calories
- iOS never tells an app whether reading was allowed. Check Gym+ under Settings, Apps, Health, Data Access & Devices.
- I refused the permission on Android and want to turn it back on
- Gym+ cannot ask a second time. On the Health data screen, tap Open Health Connect and turn on the Gym+ permissions.
- Health Connect is not installed
- On the Health data screen, tap Install Health Connect, let your watch write its data there and come back to Gym+.
Open in the app
In Gym+, tap the question mark on the Home screen to open the Help Center and search for “Health data”. The Open now button takes you straight to the screen.
