A team puts you next to people you chose, instead of the whole city. The team decides which numbers it compares, such as check-ins, workouts, volume or records, and each member can hide any of them. The week, the month and the year close on their own, each one with a champion.
Before you start
- Teams are for people 18 or older and are closed in the teen mode. See Teen mode: how Gym+ works at 16 and 17.
- Sign in to your account to train with a team.
Step by step
Open the Profile tab, tap Ranking and, on the Ranking tab, tap the Teams card.
To start a team, tap Create a team. Give it a name, say what the team is about, add a photo if you want one and tap Create.
To bring people in, tap the settings icon at the top of the team to open Manage the team. Under Invitation links, tap New link and then Share or Copy.
Got an invite? Open the link, or tap Use an invitation and paste the link or the code. Check the numbers the team would see about you and tap Join.
Inside the team, pick Week, Month or Year to see the board, and follow the Challenges and What the team did.
In What I show here, hide any number from this team. Between your choice and the team's, the stricter one wins.
Common problems
- The invite says the link is no longer valid
- The link may have ended or run out of uses. Ask the person who invited you for a new one.
- I opened the invite and I am waiting
- The owner lets new members in by hand. You are in as soon as they say yes.
- The team is full
- Ask the owner to make room.
Open in the app
In Gym+, tap the question mark on the Home screen to open the Help Center and search for “Teams”. The Open now button takes you straight to the screen.
