Friends on Gym+ are added by their @, and both sides have to say yes. With friends, you follow each other's gym visits, get a friends board in the ranking and can challenge each one to a duel.
Before you start
- Friends are for people 18 or older and are closed in the teen mode. See Teen mode: how Gym+ works at 16 and 17.
- Sign in to your account and have an @ on your profile.
Step by step
Open the Profile tab, tap Ranking, open the Visits tab and tap Friends.
Under Add by @, type your friend's @ and tap Send.
The request shows under Sent, as Waiting for an answer, until they accept.
Requests sent to you are under Requests received. Tap Accept or Decline.
In the Friends list, tap the sword icon next to a friend to challenge them to a duel. See How to challenge a friend to a duel.
Common problems
- The app says no one has that @
- Check the spelling with your friend. The @ has to match the one on their profile exactly.
- I have reached the limit of friends
- Remove someone from the list to add a new friend.
Open in the app
In Gym+, tap the question mark on the Home screen to open the Help Center and search for “Friends”. The Open now button takes you straight to the screen.
